A great excuse to throw a party!

STAPLE Hill was the venue for the launch of the St Peter’s Hospice Summer Party season.
The event at The Old Mail House pub on Saturday April 22 aimed to encourage Bristol residents to hold their own fundraising parties across June, July and August to raise funds for Bristol’s only adult hospice - whether it be a garden party, BBQ, tea party, picnic.
The hospice is hoping to raise £35,000 from the Summer Party fundraising campaign this year. This would pay for a Community nurse specialist for one year, enabling them to care for more patients in their own homes.
Community nurse specialists make all the difference for patients at a very difficult time for families. For every £600 raised, one more patient can receive care and support from a dedicated, specially trained nurse.
St Peter’s said: “It was great to have partnered up with the Old Mail House, which donated 50p from every beer sold on the day to St Peter's Hospice.”
