THE ambitious revamp of Badminton Road Methodist Church is complete and the church is set to reopen on October 15.
Services have been taking place in the annexe while the work has been carried out to create a modern and welcoming space for the community and a dedicated church area.
The Minister, the Rev Pearl Luxon, said the upgrading the refurbishment of the 1960s building had taken nearly a year - but the completion of the work was only the start.
“We are ready to share this wonderful new building with the community. Our Creations Project is ready for the next phase,” she said.
“This project has always had the aim of building community and caring for it in new and better ways. So we are looking carefully at ways in which we can serve and be used for the benefit of a wide range of different groups who need to meet or to come and chat and find friends.”
All are welcome to the rededication and reopening on October 15 at 3pm, which will be followed by a tea.
If you would like to book the premises or talk about their use, please call Pearl on 0117 907 5933 . or to book rooms email firstname.lastname@example.org
Details of Messy Space sessions and the Wednesday cafe at Badminton Road can be found on the church’s Facebook page. An exhibition of the church's history is open Monday October 16 to Friday 20 10am to noon except Wednesday when the time is 3.30-5.30pm.
