Brunel Brass in return visit to Christ Church

ONE of the West Country’s most successful brass bands returns to Downend this month.
Brunel Brass, which has won a number of regional and national titles over the last decade, is giving a concert at Christ Church Downend on Saturday May 20.
The band, which rehearses weekly in Swindon, includes three players from the Christ Church Downend membership, Reuben Jenkins and Luke and Alan Campbell.
It now has a new musical director, Captain Paul Collis-Smith from the British Army.
The concertstarts at 7pm and tickets (£5) are available from Christ Church Parish Office (Mon – Fri 9.30-12) or from Alan Campbell 07740 739600
Proceeds from the concert will be shared between Brunel Brass and the six Mission Partners supported by Christ Church Downend; Children of Clarens (South Africa), Christians Against Poverty (CAP), Ben & Katy Ray at Neema Crafts working with the Church Mission Society (CMS), Open Doors & Haven Home in India, more information on these charities can be found at www.christchurchdownend.com
