Burglar sent to jail

A MAN has been jailed after a burglary at a community centre in Yate.
Richard Crook, 39, of no fixed abode, was arrested after officers were alerted to the crime, which took place on Friday May 12, by a CCTV operator.
He appeared before Bristol magistrates the following day and admitted breaking in to the community centre in Shire Way and a further charge of burglary at a pub in Soundwell Road, Soundwell on Saturday, April 15.
He was jailed for a total of 12 months and ordered to pay costs and a victim surcharge totalling £200.
A second man also appeared in court charged with the same two burglaries and two others, both in London Road, Warmley, in April and May. He was remanded in custody pending a further hearing.
