By popular demand - Puss in Boots panto

A PRODUCTION of the panto Puss in Boots has proved so popular an extra performance has been laid on.
The Affordable Theatre Company had planned to run the show from December 17-19 at Bromley Heath School.
But after tickets sold like hotcakes, the group has added an extra evening on December 16.
The theatre company was set up by Downend mum-of-four Sarah Trevatt who was concerned many families would miss out on the joy of watching a live performance because of the cost.
Sarah, a freelance musical theatre teacher, rallied her friends and contacts, a mix of actors, directors and technicians, who all agreed to support her venture.
The group’s first offering several years ago - the panto Cinderella - was a huge success, selling out almost immediately.
Since then the group has gone from strength to strength returning to the school last year with Aladdin, which also sold out.
Judging from how quickly the original three nights sold out, this year’s show, with tickets priced at £6, looks set to become another sell-out.
Sarah said: “Originally we were only performing from the17-19th, but the tickets sold out in five days, so we are launched a fourth performance on Tuesday December 16.
“Our ethos is to create affordable creative opportunities and we are passionate about everyone being able to access live theatre either by performing or being part of the audience.”
Puss in Boots is the story of Peter and his cat who set out to seek work as Peter’s father, a miller, has died leaving his mum Wendy penniless and homeless. On his travels they meet Mr Eman, a travelling doctor who sells them an potion for a sore throat, which puss drinks and finds he has a voice. Puss dons boots and a hat and sets out with Peter on a great adventure.
Featuring a love story and a child-eating ogre called Grumbleguts, the show promises to provide a good - and affordable - night out for all the family.
