Published on: 01 Jul 2016

Local churches from Downend and Bromley Heath, Mangotsfield, Emersons Green and  Staple Hill are once more coming together to provide an Open Air Service and free family fun day.
C in the Park is in its fifth year and takes place at King George V playing fields in Downend on July 3.  The day will begin at 11am with an open air service led by Pendennis Church and Music Group together with children from Mangotsfield CofE Primary School singing. Guest speaker, Neil Todman, will be providing a message for us all to consider and this year the theme will be peace.
From noon – 4pm local schools and groups will entertain the crowds from the main stage and there will also be lots of other things for families to enjoy such as large inflatables, craft, games, sporting activities and refreshments.   There will be no charge for any of the attractions.
Sally Sibley, Bristol diocese’s school and community link worker said the event, funded by the churches with support from the local councils, was a gift to the community.
