CHURCHES from Downend, Bromley Heath, Mangotsfield, Emersons Green and Staple Hill are once again coming together to offer a free family fun day for all to enjoy.
C in the Park is now in its sixth year and will take place on Sunday July 2 at King George V playing fields in Downend.
The day will begin at 11am with an open air service led by Sanctuary Church and Music Group together with children from Mangotsfield CofE Primary School who will be singing.
The churches taking part fund the event with support from local councils and say it is their gift to the community. Visitors are being encouraged to bring a picnic lunch as well as chairs and blankets to sit on. Refreshments will also be on sale.
From 12pm to 4pm local schools and groups will entertain the crowds from the main stage and various activities will be available such as large inflatables, craft, games, sporting activities and tea, coffee, soft drinks and cake.
Sally Sibley, school-community link worker, said: "There will be no charge for any of the attractions so please come along with your family and friends on Sunday 2nd July when the committee hope we will be blessed with a sunny day to enjoy this event together."
