Conor's legacy

THE  family of former Downend School student Conor Hall are keeping up their fundraising efforts.
A sponsored cycle ride earlier this year raised nearly £5,000 to buy defibrillators and the first of these is set to be installed at Morrisons in Fishponds.
The family is also hopeful that one can be put at Broad Plain Boxing Club, which Conor attended.
Conor died five years ago, aged 16, after a scooter accident on Lodge Causeway. Although he had been wearing a helmet, it was not fastened properly, which led his family to launch the Clip Up for Conor campaign to raise awareness of the need for safety.
They have also raised more than £25,000 in  total for a number of charities including Brake, Headway and The Children's Trust.
