Culinary whizz Conrad wins Bristol Young Chef of the Year
CONRAD Ross-Greenham, who goes to Bristol Metropolitan Academy in Fishponds, has won Bristol Young Chef of the Year.
Conrad took part in a Bristol Healthy Schools competition staged at Bordeaux Quay Cookery School and Restaurant.
He had sixty minutes to cook his chosen dish of Moroccan chicken with couscous and a mint and feta dip. Conrad won tickets to go to the BBC Junior Bake off and the judges were so inspired by his passion for cooking he has been given work experience by the head chef at Bordeaux Quay.
Alison Evans, design and technology teacher at Bristol Met, said: “When I heard about this competition I thought of Conrad. He has impressed me with his culinary skills and is an extremely talented chef. Both myself and staff at Bristol Met are extremely proud of his efforts and he thoroughly deserved to win.”
