Cup exits mean Mangos only have league to play for

MANGOTSFIELD United have to concentrate on the league this year, having been knocked out of both the FA Cup and the FA Trophy.
Things were looking good for Dave Mehew’s side in September, when they achieved a 100 per cent record of three league victories, one home and two away. This earned them the title of Team of the Month.
But the team have had a wobble in recent weeks, dropping to third place after a 3-0 defeat at Larkhall United was followed by a 5-1 thrashing at Cossham Street by Shortwood United.
For November, they have no less than six league fixtures to squeeze in with three of them away. The first two home fixtures are on November 12 against AFC Totton and November 19 when Winchester City are the visitors.
A big crowd is expected for November 29, when Mangos entertain Hereford, the current league leaders.
Martin Preedy, from the club, said: “Player wise, the squad is settled, but we may have the odd loan signing to cover suspensions and injuries.”
