Family firm can't wait for Euros

MEMBERS of a family firm who live in Downend, Mangotsfield and Emersons Green have more reason than most to look forward to Euro 2016.
For they all work for the company Pitchmark which has been chosen to supply its line marking paint and equipment for the European Championships in France, where four of the five home nations will be showcasing their footballing talents alongside Europe’s elite.
Pitchmark was set up in 2010 by Mark Rodman, a groundsman and horticultural engineer for 30 years and former head groundsman at Cleve RFC for 16 years.
Based in Coalpit Heath, Pitchmark previously supplied the Confederations Cup 2013 and Brazil World Cup 2014, and currently distribute in over 20 countries worldwide.
After the company was approached in April regarding Euro 2016, Mark flew out to help train staff at the Stade Matmut Atlantique in Bordeaux, as well as the Stade Velodrome in Marseille.
Mark said: “We’re delighted to have supplied our products to yet another high profile event. It proves that even though we are a fairly young, small family business, our products, expertise and customer service are market-leading.
“We’re very proud and can’t wait for the tournament to start now; hopefully England can perform as well as our paint!”
