Foodbank in demand
Published on: 30 Sep 2016
RESOUND foodbank in Mangotsfield has seen an increase in demand over recent months and needs to stock up its supplies for the winter.
It is asking supporters not to buy baked beans or tinned soup, but to stick to items on its list, which can be found online. Some of the things it needs are wrapped chocolate bars and individually wrapped chocolate bars, as well as tinned meat and fish, instant mashed potato, pasta, rice and couscous. Personal items such as toothpaste, shampoo and deodorant and non-food products including toilet rolls and washing up liquid are also welcome.
The foodbank will be producing Christmas boxes for its customers again this year - but if you want to get involved with this, please contact the organisers, who will allocated a specific number and size.
Donations can be dropped off at Resound any Friday morning
