DR Diana Warner, a GP, has been selected as the Green Party candidate for Filton & Bradley Stoke.
She has been a family doctor for 25 years and works in Stoke Gifford and Conygre Medical Centre.
Diana, who lives in Filton and has two adult children, is a staunch supporter of the NHS and says it is the increasing problems she has witnessed through her work that have motivated her to stand for Parliament.
“Increasing hardship suffered by people at all levels of income, the great strain on health services imposed by cycles of change over the last ten years and the disruption of services taking place over the last four years, make me determined to improve the health of local people and to protect the NHS through political action,” she said.
“With the strength and determination of the Green Party’s local members, volunteers and supporters, as well as the support of our community at large, change for the better is a real possibility.”
Filton and Bradley Stoke Green Party recently saw its membership rise by 20 members in less than a week.
