Hall still on the market

A BUYER is still being sought for the St John Ambulance Hall in Staple Hill, which went on the market early this year.
The organisation’s volunteers now meet at the Park Centre in Kingswood, where better facilities are on offer.
The hope is that the sale of the building will bring in much-needed funds.
A spokesman for St John Ambulance said: “The Staple Hill building served us well, but it was no longer fit for purpose and didn’t meet the needs of our volunteers.
“Meeting in hired premises, as the majority of St John Ambulance’s volunteers do, saves our charity significant amounts of money and - along with the proceeds from the sales of buildings like this - that enables us to increase investment in delivering our vision that everyone who needs it should receive first aid from those around them.”
