Is this the way to Amarillo ... or Downend?

IS this the way to Amarillo – or Downend? That was the question on the lips of Radio Bristol's Sacha and Martin when they took part in the regular Clueless game.
The pair were competing – not entirely successfully – with a team from Radio Somerset. Each had to follow clues, with the help of listeners, over the course of a Sunday morning to reach a destination.
Sacha and Martin wered weeping like a willow by the time they ended up at Lincombe Barn in Overndale Road, where they were greeted by a number of the Cleeve Singers, who gave a rendition of the Tony Christie classic.
Patricia Holmes, from the choir, said: “It was quite an entertaining experience for the Cleeve Singers to be heard on local radio and even be on the Facebook page of Radio Bristol. In the end, they seemed to be entertaining us, with Martin in particular wanting to sing. It was a fun time.”
If you heard the impromptu performance and fancy joining in, the new season starts at Lincombe Barn on September 14. You can enrol in the choir after trying out at three rehearsals. For more details contact the secretary on 0117 9561881 or email cleevesingers@ gmail.com.
