Jo reaches her target after seven days in the saddle
DETERMINED Jo Bray completed her 300-mile gruelling cycle ride on the Great Wall of China and has now reached her £5,000 charity target.
Jo, 37, who works as a graphic designer at Rubicon Marketing in Downend, was raising money for Leukaemia and Lymphona Research.
During her seven-day marathon, she spent 28 hours and 58 minutes in the saddle. She climbed 21,280ft and burned 16,918 calories.
Jo, who is Bristol branch chairman and a trustee of the charity, said: “It was an absolutely amazing challenge to take part in. I went through every emotion possible, from elation to tears to total demoralisation but I cycled 300 miles across China and will never forget it. A truly magical experience!”
Jo is inspired to work for the charity by her mum, who has lived with blood cancer for six years.None right now - check back soon
