Laura’s winning design is first class

MANGOTSFIELD School has put its own stamp on this summer’s Shaun in the City event.
The winning design for the school’s miniature Shaun statue covers the creature with postage stamps.
It was dreamed up by Year 8 student Laura Westcott, who said the stamps were symbolic of the ‘students at Mangotsfield going on a journey through school and into the future.’
Laura decorated the sheep sculpture, named Special Delivery, with Darcy Jones.
Her design was chosen after a competition involving more than 200 staff and students.
Head of art Dawn Beedle said the quality of entries had been very high. The top 30 creative designs have been used to create a limited edition print, which is on sale at £5 to raise money for Bristol Children’s Hospital.
