Len fulfils ambition as he has two books published

A DOWNEND man has become a published author at the age of 73.
Len Kail, of Badminton Gardens, has just had two books published in the United States. Len, who was a weapons instructor in the British army and later worked as an engineer and office manager, retired in 2005 to look after his wife Joyce.
He said: “ I have always wanted to put my ideas down on paper and although I’ve been writing on and off for almost 10 years, I’ve never really had the time as I’ve been caring for Joyce. Moving to a flat in a complex with an on-site care team has given me a lot more time to pursue my interest in writing. The staff here are so helpful and really take some of the pressure off me.
“My first novel, a sci-fi thriller called The Happening, was published a few weeks ago. It’s great that people seem to be enjoying it and I’m looking forward to their views on my new book (entitled Dimensions – The Merlin Factor ) which has just been published.”
Both Len’s novels are available as e-books and in paperback on Amazon and in major book stores.
