CUSTOMERS at an Italian restaurant in Emersons Green have helped raise thousands of pounds for Bristol's Children's Hospital.
Staff at Bottegino's put aside the proceeds from olives and breadsticks purchased over the past year and managed to collect a whopping £5,500. The impressive sum also included money raised at a charity golf day.
The restaurant has raised more than £14,000 for the hospital since 2013.
Owner Gino Botto said: "With the help of our great and loyal customers plus another golf day this year to be organised by our friend, the very kind Andy Georgiou, we are hoping that this time next year we will have hit the £20,000 figure.
"Thank you to all that have helped us achieve these great monies for such a great cause."
