Love your enemies

YOUNG people from Pendennis Good News Church, Christ Church Downend, Resound and Downend Baptist gathered at Resound for a mellow yet challenging Pre-Valentine’s night.
Chilling out with friends, doodling on cafe style table cloths, the tuck shop, games console, fairy lights and bean bags made for a great start.
Live music from Matt Doherty, was followed by Rachel Price, Youth worker at Downend Baptist, leading a drama with a modern take on how we treat those around us.
The Valentine’s challenge was how we could “love our enemies”, a strong message of how to love even when it’s tough from Diane Paddon, Youth Leader at Christ Church. Some young people and their leaders trekked back to Christ Church for a sleep over in theYouth Hub. After a Valentine’s Day breakfast, Ken & Joyce Crotty, church members, inspired the young people by sharing their story of 63 years journeying together in love and faith.
The next Youth Dynamic event is on SaturdayApril 9, 7pm at Resound.
