CALLING all men – do you fancy a trip to the South Pacific?

St Mary’s Players, who meet in Staple Hill, are preparing for their production of the Rodgers and Hammerstein classic musical and are in need of some more male voices.

The group is holding auditions at Page Hall on October 12 at 11am.

Spokeswoman Lizzy Cummins said: “We are looking to cast a group of men to join our expanding ensemble. Experience is not essential – a willingness to have fun and be part of a team is.”

Rehearsals will be held on Thursdays and Sundays for the show, which will take place at the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton from April 7-11.

The Players, who performed The Sound of Music at the theatre this spring, staged their annual Old Time Music Hall in Staple Hill last month. Packed audiences over four nights enjoyed supper, comedy and songs including everything from old time classics to Disney magic.
