New members required for harmony group

Published on: 30 Jan 2014

AVON Harmony, a ladies chorus based in Bristol, is seeking new members of all ages.

Jackie Boffin, a committee member, said: “Even if you have not sung since schooldays, if you enjoy singing along to the radio or your MP3 player, and can hold a tune, you can be sure of a warm welcome at any of our rehearsals. You don’t need to be able to read music either, as we learn all our songs from teach tracks on a CD or MP3. “

The chorus sings a cappella, four-part harmony, barbershop style, and enjoys entertaining at festivals and family events, and taking part in local and national competitions.

Avon Harmony meets every Thursday evening at Fairfield High School in Horfield, and has members from all over Bristol and South Gloucestershire and further afield, so you will almost certainly meet somebody who lives close to you.
