New outdoor classroom for Christ Church Juniors

CHILDREN at Christ Church Juniors have a new outdoor classroom.
The ‘learning pod’ has been funded by a lottery grant, money from Rolls Royce and internal fundraising.
Deputy head Pippa Osborne said: “It is an incredibly exciting development in the grounds as it will enable all pupils to have more outdoor learning opportunities, provide shade and seating during playtimes and enhance the grounds for community use before and after school as well as for events.”
The whole of the school’s outdoor space is undergoing a facelift, from the dedicated Forest School area and the 60 new saplings to the school mosaics and now the pod.
Mrs Osborne added: “The school council have been pivotal in selecting the design and deciding where it should go and now they have grand designs for the future including a staging area and a climbing wall too.”
