Pamela uses her experience to create healthy meals on a budget

PAMELA Williams has years of experience at making healthy meals on a budget – and now she is passing on cookery tips to others.
“Over the years I have had a vegetarian child, a everything healthy child, and an everything pasta
child,” she said.
“I learned to adapt to make sure everyone got a nutritious meal that was not too expensive.
“Now my children are grown up, I have started to realise that a few of their friends and people in
older generations are unable to cook. Ready meals are on the up – but they are not always healthy and can be costly.”
Pamela believes that one reason people buy convenience food is that they lack the confidence to prepare basic dishes.
She has started running workshops at the Royal British Legion in Staple Hill where people can share and develop knowledge of cooking.
“I enjoy cooking and like to experiment with different dishes. My dad taught me to cook West Indian dishes and over the years I have adapted them and made different creations.”
Pamela’s workshops can be held during the day or in the evening. For further details, email pampamsworkshop.com
