Pre-school needs you for nostalgic trip
Published on: 31 Mar 2014
PAGE Park Pre-school will be celebrating its 40th anniversary this summer with a special event - but would like your help to take guests on a journey down memory lane.
Staff will host a reunion cream tea for pupils and staff, past and present, to be scheduled for a date in June.
They would love readers of Downend Voice to submit any relevant photos and stories to the pre-school committee so they can create a memory board.
Pre-school chair Charlie Walker said everyone was looking forward to celebrating the pre-school’s 40th birthday.
“Although children only go there for a very short period, it is their first time away from mum or dad or their carer.
“There is such a great atmosphere at the pre-school and they have a very child-centred, individual approach. We know the people who have used the pre-school over the years value that and it means a lot to them.
“It would be really nice to have some stories and photos so people who have used the service can get together and share their memories.”
The pre-school, based in the pavilion in Page Park, was set up by mums in 1974.
If you are able to help please email firstname.lastname@example.org for further details. Any photos or written stories will be returned.
Downend Voice will let readers know the date of the event once it has been confirmed.
