IT'S proving a busy summer for the Downend-based business BNS Property Management.

The firm is recruiting ten more people to its workforce to cope with increasing demand for its services – and it is for the first time sponsoring the shirts of a Conference football team.

BNS supports people living at more than 200 sites in Bristol and the South West - ranging from recently-built apartment developments to converted Georgian buildings – with management of their communal areas.

BNS managing director Andrew Simmonds said the organisation was growing so fast that it was now looking at extending its Badminton Road offices or taking on additional office space in the area.

He said: “We have seen a major expansion of our business as we have an in-house team rather than sub-contractors, which keeps costs down and gives us greater control.

“We are anticipating further growth over the next six months and the ten new jobs are aimed at ensuring we keep the levels of service our customers have come to expect.”

The new roles include a maintenance manager, a property inspector, some maintenance workers and office-based accounts staff.

Meanwhile, the BNS name – and the company's new logo - will be seen across the country, worn by the players of Conference Premier League team Forest Green Rovers.

Mr Simmonds said the firm had expanded into Gloucestershire in recent years and had been keen to get involved with the 125th anniversary celebrations of the football club in Nailsworth, near Stroud.

He said Forest Green shared BNS's green credentials.

“They are the first football club to take sustainability seriously in the same way that we do in managing properties so we wanted to support them in their bid to gain Football League status.

“We are looking forward to some great games this season – not least of which when Forest Green take on Bristol Rovers, which will be an exciting fixture.”
