Rock school in spotlight

INDEPENDENT music school Bristol Rock Centre has featured on local television, explaining what goes on behind the heavily soundproofed door of its Mangotsfield base.
An episode of the Bristol Music Show was filmed at the centre in Stockwell Drive and shown on Made in Bristol TV. If you missed it, you can view it on YouTube.
Becky Baldwin, co-owner of the centre, said: “The programme presenters had great fun playing their own version of the T-Rex classic, 20th Century Boy.”
One of the reasons the programme-makers chose to film at the centre was to try out the Rock
Centre’s latest offering – corporate training.
“We can provide team training sessions,” said Becky. “People find that working under time pressure to learn a song and perform it as a group is an exhilarating experience that requires intense concentration and effective teamwork. They get a real buzz from playing music in a professional setting and a fantastic sense of achievement when they perform together at the end.”
Bespoke training sessions can be tailored to individual requirements, and can be held at the Bristol Rock Centre in Mangotsfield or at a company’s own premises.
