DOZENS of colourful characters will appear in Pucklechurch over the Bank Holiday weekend for the village’s annual scarecrow trail and competition.
Visitors are encouraged to follow the trail and identify the scarecrows, which have been created on the theme The Good, the Bad and the Ugly.
The event on Sunday May 5 and Monday May 6 is to raise funds for St Thomas a Becket church.
It costs £2 for adults, £1 for children or £5 for a family ticket. Entry forms and maps can be collected from the church from 11.30am on Sunday and from 10am on Monday.
Sandwiches, drinks, cream teas, local crafts and stalls are available at the church all day and there are three village pubs to choose from. Guess the name of the scarecrows and return your form by 4.30pm on Monday to be in with a chance of winning a cash prize of £50.
