MEMBERS of the 85th Bristol Scout Group have handed over £875 to the Wallace and Gromit Grand Appeal following activities on last summer’s Shaun in the City trail.
The Beaver Scouts made scrap books of all the Shauns they visited, taking pictures which went towards their Photographer badge. The Beavers and Cubs also took part in a sponsored silence - which went down well with Leaders and parents alike!
The Scouts did something completely different and invited their parents along to a troop curry night.  Parents joined in with games and were then treated to a musical interlude together with a slide show of the Scouts’ recent activities, followed by a magic show.  The evening ended with the parents having curry and rice all cooked and served by the Scouts, and parents made a donation towards the events.
Amber Janey, from the charity, which supports Bristol Children’s Hospital, came along to a recent meeting to receive a cheque.
