THE hills of Bristol have been alive with the sound of praise for the latest production by the Staple Hill-based St Mary’s Players.
The musical theatre group staged The Sound of Music at the Redgrave Theatre in Clifton to sellout audiences for a week, culminating in three performances on Saturday April 26.
Their efforts earned them a five-star review and many plaudits from audience members.
Two groups, the Roses and the Rainbows, played the children in alternate performances. Jane Harper was Maria, Simon Vardakis Captain Von Trapp and Lisa Gaines Mother Abbess.
