Smart way around the NHS

A SMARTPHONE app has been launched to help residents in South Gloucestershire find the right local health services.
The South Gloucestershire Service Finder app enables residents to quickly find their nearest and most appropriate health service using GPS mapping.
At the touch of a button, residents can locate and contact GP practices, pharmacies, minor injury units, hospitals and A&E departments, or phone NHS 111 for free medical advice. They can also store notes and set up alerts for appointments.
The iPhone and android app is provided free by South Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning Group (CCG), the body responsible for planning and buying healthcare for the area.
The app also supports the campaign ‘Think ABC before A&E’.
