STAPLE Hill Primary School pupils were stars of the show at a Christmas event for South Gloucestershire schools at Clifton Cathedral.

STAPLE Hill Primary School pupils were stars of the show at a Christmas event for South Gloucestershire schools at Clifton Cathedral.

Primary schools were encouraged to make their own sheep for a nativity scene at the annual carol service.The scene also featured a real baby and a real donkey.

Among those taking part were Bromley Heath Junior, Christ Church Junior, The Tynings and St Augustine of Canterbury.

The service was organised by South Gloucestershire Council's Music Hub and included a varied programme of traditional carols and modern songs including Sing by Gary Barlow.

It followed the event in 2012 which set a Guinness World Record for the Most Living Figures in a Nativity Scene - 845.
