Summer days and knights

GRACE Church Bristol hosted its third annual Summer Kids Club for primary school children in the local community this August, writes Kate Hacker.
Fifty-five children participated in the four-day ‘Knights & Princesses’ themed club, held at the Bristol Metropolitan Academy.
The week featured relay races, team games, and crafts. ‘Sir Chapalot’ also came out each day to teach children about the elements of the ‘Knights’ Code’: Honour, Protect, Truth, and Courage.
“On arrival the venue looked amazing, the staff were so friendly and welcoming,” said one parent whose children took part. “I had no concerns and no doubts that my children would have a brilliant time - which they absolutely did. I will be singing your praises and recommending you to anyone who will listen.”
Nathan Smith, lead pastor at Grace Church said: “We do this each year as a way to reach out to the community - to give the kids something fun and exciting to do, and also to be able to tell them about who we consider to be the most important person in the world: Jesus.”
Grace Church also hosts Kids Club every Sunday morning from 10.30am-noon at the Bristol Met. To find out more visit: http://www.gracechurchbristol.org/our-church-life/kids-club/
