ADDITIONAL support is being delivered to elderly people in the Downend area along with their supplies of frozen meals.
The Well Aware charity has joined forces with Wiltshire Farm Foods distribute leaflets to publicise its free health and wellbeing directory.
The Well Aware website (www.wellaware.org.uk) has more than 5,500 entries and covers Bristol, South Gloucestershire, Bath & North East Somerset and Somerset. People visiting Well Aware can search for activities, groups, organisations and services close to their homes using maps as well as postcodes.
The Well Aware Team wanted to spread the word about Well Aware.
Spokesman David Harwood said: “Wiltshire Farm Foods is a company providing a weekly free delivery service of frozen meals direct to the homes of customers across Bristol and to all areas with a BS postcode. Their service is primarily focused on older people and people with disabilities and I realised that they might be able to reach the people that we most wanted to contact.”
The Wiltshire Farm Foods Bristol franchise, based in Portbury, will deliver more than 3,000 Well Aware leaflets to its customers.
