A PEARLY King and Queen provided entertainment at an afternoon of nostalgia at Emersons Green Village Hall as part of the commemoration of the centenary of the First World War.

It was organised by hall manager Viv Roberts and supported by Mangotsfield Rural Parish Council and Sainsbury’s. The Royal British Legion attended to sell poppies. The event included a teaparty and a singalong.

Parish council chairman Alan Maggs is pictured with the Melksham Pearlies, Sainsbury’s manager Rich Jones and Viv Roberts.
