Triathlon triumph

PAUL Dennett, from Emersons Green, and two friends raised more than £12,000 for Children’s Hospice South West by doing an ultra triathlon - but his efforts do not stop there.

Paul has now set up a social and friendly membership club for novice and more experienced athletes, and a portion of each membership fee is going to the hospice at Charlton Farm, Wraxall.

He chose to support the hospice as it had supported his friend Jim, whose son Jack died there. With Marc Thomas and Phill Edwards, from Bradley Stoke, he took part in the Bristol Brutal, which involved covering  320 miles over three days on foot and by bike.

Paul’s group is called Active Soul UK. Find out more on the group’s Facebook page or email
