mangotsfield fc v bristol rovers

MIDWINTER has been a quiet time for Mangotsfield United, with a couple of away matches being  postponed because of waterlogged pitches.
The team drew 1-1 with Yate Town in the Boxing Day derby,  lost at home to Taunton Town and away to Winchester – both top six teams.
Cossham Street played host to Bristol Rovers U21s in the GFA Senior Challenge Cup quarter final on January 19 and lost 4-1 on a cold, crispy pitch. Mangos started  with fringe players and were 4-0 down at half time, but  substitutions settled everything down.
On the injury side, central defender Ryan Batten suffered a dislocated shoulder in the Taunton Town match, but it’s hoped he will be ready to start again in early February. The only player leaving l in the last month was Jake Harris. This  was by mutual consent.
February home matches are against Marlow on Feb 6 and Larkhall Athletic on Feb 20.
