What a night to remember

fireworks

EVERY year my family and I wrap up warm and eagerly attend Downend’s biggest event – the Round Table’s fireworks display and we are never disappointed.

This year, I have to say, was one of the best displays I've seen.

From the ease of entering the site to watch the fireworks – with having young children we have to watch both the children’s display and the adults – to watching the entertainment and enjoying the rides and stalls, it seemed to flow much better than other years.

The children’s display was truly lovely. We all huddled together at the front to make sure we had a good view. The different choice of fireworks was great and kept all the children entertained for the duration - and the finale was brilliant.

The bonfire was a very popular spot for folk trying to keep warm as were the food stalls, which had a great variety of both sweet and savoury to keep people going while waiting for the main display.

This was spectacular and, as always, choreographed to the music, which makes it more fun.

The finale was incredible. It was obvious a lot of work and money was pumped into making it a success and to help raise as much money as possible for the Round Table’s chosen charity.
