POLICE stepped up patrols in the Emersons Green and Mangotsfield areas after vehicles had their windows smashed.
The incidents, which happened in late October, are being treated as criminal damage.
In all officers have had eight reports of cars having one or more windows smashed – possibly by a pellet-type gun or catapult – in Kingston Close, Westerleigh Road and Thomas Avenue, Emersons Green, and in Springfield Road and Springleaze, Mangotsfield.
At around the time of one incident in Thomas Avenue, , a group of six cyclists were seen in the area. They were riding bikes with distinctive illuminated spokes, and officers are keen to trace them.
