THE 2152 (Downend) Detached Flight, Air Cadets are recruiting.  They are looking for young people 13-17. They are also looking for adult volunteers to aged over 20 to instruct, lead, motivate and look after welfare.  They especially need female adult volunteers.

The Air Cadets is a UK-wide cadet force sponsored by the Royal Air Force.

As a cadet, you’ll get the chance to do things that others only dream about, such as adventurous training, overseas camps, gliding and real flight experience. Over the last couple of months Downend Air Cadets have; completed DofE expeditions in the UK and France, visited RAF bases, been power boating, helped at community events, walked in Holland, parachuted, flown gliders and much more.

If you want to become a cadet or staff or are just interested in what the cadets do then please come to our open evening at St James’ Church Hall, Richmond Road, Mangotsfield on Wednesday September 25 from 7.45-9.30pm, refreshments available.

For information please email 2152df@aircadets.org.
