Zumba for cancer UK at Blackhorse School

HUNDREDS of pounds was raised for Cancer Research UK at a Zumba event held at Blackhorse Primary School.
Organiser Debbie Griffin thanked all the adults and children who took part in the Stand Up To Cancer evening.
She said: “The atmosphere was electric with adults and children all taking part and having great fun. I’d like to thank the school and local businesses for their wonderful support. We managed to raise a fantastic £614.00 - thank you.”
Karen Davis, spokeswoman for Cancer Research UK, and said: “With one in three of us being touched by cancer it’s crucial that our life-saving research can continue and it’s events such as these that make it happen. Our huge thanks go to everybody involved. What a fabulous evening. A special mention must go to the wonderful children who came from my and Debbie’s afterschool Zumbatomic Clubs who started the evening off in great spirit, well done kids, fantastic moves and energy!”
