PUPILS  at Stanbridge Primary  in Downend had an "out of this world" visitor to talk to them about their space topic.

University of Bristol PhD student Tim Gregory, star of the BBC programme, Astronauts: Do You Have What It Takes? entertained, enthralled and inspired sixty Year 5 children with his tales of space oddities, facts and theories.

Class teacher Miss Lazenby said, "Everyone was captivated by Tim.  What an inspiration."

Miss Lazenby, who organised the visit, bumped into Tim in IKEA and he jumped at the chance of visiting Stanbridge and talking to the children.

She said, "His passion for space is contagious.  It's people like Tim who make people believe anything is possible."
