Comic Relief sales bring in £28,000

Sainsbury’s Emersons Green is celebrating after raising over £28,000 for Comic Relief.

Sainsbury’s Emersons Green  is celebrating after raising over £28,000 for Comic Relief. 

Staff members took part in a variety of fundraising events during the weeks leading up to Red Nose Day on Friday March 24. 

Activities included crazy golf and sales of Red Nose scratch cards and other merchandise.

Paul Morrison said: Our customers and colleagues are always keen to raise as much as possible for Red Nose Day and come up with lots of fun and creative ways to do it. I’m really proud that we’ve been able to contribute to the impressive figure donated from Sainsbury’s to Comic Relief.”

On Red Nose Day, Sainsbury’s announced it had raised £11.6 million for the charity with more funds still to be collected.
