COMMUNITY groups in Downend, Staple Hill, Mangotsfield and Emersons Green are being invited to apply for grants to help them provide activities for teenagers.
Projects that can be funded through South Gloucestershire Council’s Positive Activities Subsidy (PAS) range from sports, clubs and societies to occasional social trips or activities.
Applications for small grants of up to £3,000 are particularly encouraged during the current bidding round, which ends on May 10.
These will be considered by the district’s five Area Committees in July and priority will be given to organisations that have directly involved young people in selecting activities for funding.
Eligible organisations include registered charities and organisations set up for charitable purposes.
Further information is available from the Quartet Community Foundation at www.quartetcf.org.uk/SGCPositiveActivities or by telephoning 0117 989 7700. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Foundation to discuss their projects before applying.
