Supporting hospital ship
A CRAFT group is supporting a hospital ship that gives people in Africa access to emergency treatment.
The African Mercy is a huge ship with surgeons on board performing hundreds of operations each year, including removing cataracts and large tumours and straightening children's limbs. Their services are free of charge.
The craft group at Christ Church , including Ruth McNeil, pictured, supports the work of the medics by donating proceeds from the sale of homemade greeting cards.
Last year the group raised £554, which included many kind donations.
The cards are for sale from the parish office on Monday to Friday mornings and at Christ Church on Sunday and Thursday mornings.
