Trunk or treat

November 27 2018

CHRIST Church Downend held its second Trunk or Treat - an alternative to Halloween - this year.

The fun and games offered from car boots in the church car park included hot soup, hot chocolate, hot dogs, a human fruit machine game, hook a duck, glo face paint, a pick a lolly game, cake and  biscuit decorating and the steady hand challenge.

The fairy lights, glow balloons and bunting  attracted 164 children and their grown-ups.

Helen Buick, children’s leader at Christ Church, said: “The treats and bright colours were a joyful alternative to the dark, scary Halloween activities. It was a lovely community time together.”
